About Us
JOHN BUSTOS
President
At Bustos Media, we are proud to be one of the few independent Hispanic-owned radio groups in the United States. In 2005, we launched La Gran D 104.7, the first FM station in Milwaukee and in the state of Wisconsin. In 2016, we launched our second radio station, La Z 93.7 FM, and didn’t stop there, in 2023 the group of stations grew by adding the HD formats of URBANA 104.7 FM3 and La Ranchera on 104.7 FM4.
Bustos Media then took another important step in 2025 with the acquisition of long time Spanish station, Caliente 97.9 FM (formerly WJTI) to provide the explosive growing Latino population and Advertisers an expansive and wide spectrum of Spanish format options in Wisconsin.
Our goal is to exceed expectations of our Advertisers and be recognized for our involvement with the Milwaukee community and surrounding areas.
We are proud of our history of achievements since 2005. We are very excited about our future and are committed to maintaining our growth by seeking new business opportunities and acquisitions.
We will always strive to create great radio for Milwaukee, all of Wisconsin, and its fast growing wonderful community!
